The 2026 season is reaching its crescendo as The Final Charge gets underway for Round 23!
Also - a huge welcome to all the new Fantasy Super League players who have joined the Second Chance League launched last week!
Without further ado, let’s run through the top performers from Round 22. And who didn’t quite live up to the billing…
Top performers
Bevan French (86 points)
The Warriors’ half-back is certainly making up for lost time since returning from injury a couple of weeks ago. He was everywhere at the weekend as Wigan target a top two finish, as well as setting their sights on the League Leaders’ Shield.
French scored a try and assisted two more. He also made three clean line breaks, ran for 130 metres and made an impressive nine tackle busts as his side ran riot against Toulouse. A player-of-the-match display from Wigan’s star man.
He’s one of only a handful of players priced at £170k, but we think he’s well worth it. Need a new playmaker for the start of The Final Charge?

Tyrone May (84 points)
May was at the heart of everything the Robins did as they thrashed the Tigers on Friday.
He scored two tries and assisted another, completed two offloads, and made three attacking kicks, one clean line break, and ran 110 metres with the ball in hand. What a shift from the scrum half!
May certainly punches above his price tag at £120k and has even been in the conversation for the Steve Prescott MBE Man of Steel.

Harvey Barron (77 points)
It was a night to remember for the young Black & Whites winger. He will hope that his hat-trick of tries against the Saints is the first of many hat-tricks in his career.
Those tries are just the tip of the iceberg for Barron - he also ran for 170 metres and made two clean line breaks, as well as eight tackle busts in the process.
Barron has had a start stop season with injury but has still delivered the goods in a Fantasy context with 520 points!
As Hull FC look to season their season on a high and cause a few upsets to the teams above them, will you be bringing in Barron?
Dean Hadley (77 points)
It’s a well-known fact across the Betfred Super League how important Hadley is to the Robins.
Hadley was at his industrious best in Round 22. The second-rower ran for 160 metres in only 15 carries, including one clean line break and broke through two would-be Tigers tacklers.
Hadley punches above his price tag when it comes to Fantasy Super League. At £130k, Hadley could be a decent shout for these remaining fixtures.
Ben Condon (76 points)
It was another night to forget for the Dragons in Round 22, but Ben Condon can hold his head high given the shift he put in.
Condon scored two tries and made two clean line breaks in the 90 metres he ran with the ball in hand. He also completed a staggering eight offloads against the Giants. What an individual display!
Putting Condon in your side could free up funds for you to spend elsewhere in your Fantasy side, whilst also ensuring a barrel of Fantasy points as Condon continues to work hard in the Catalans jersey.

Fantasy flops
Tom Johnstone (21 points)
The July Glen’s Player of the Month contender didn’t hit the heights against the Rhinos that saw him get nominated for the monthly award.
He’ll be looking to make more of an impact when Trinity host the Saints in Round 23, with a chance to qualify their place in the Play-Offs on the line.
Cooper Jenkins (18 points)
Despite his side recording a memorable win against Trinity, Jenkins failed to leave his mark on the game. The powerhouse prop will want to bounce back this weekend as the current league leaders edge ever closer to the Shield.
Oliver Gildart (11 points)
Just eleven points for the Robins centre on Friday Night, which is very uncharacteristic for a player of Gildart’s calibre.
He will hope to shine against the Dragons as The Final Charge gets underway.
