Jai Field wins BOOST Try of the Month for May

Wigan Warriors’ Jai Field has been awarded the BOOST Try of the Month for May.

Field’s outstanding effort against Bradford Bulls in Round 10 received the most votes, edging out competition from Jayden Myers (Wakefield Trinity), Ethan Ryan (Bradford Bulls), Jason Qareqare (Castleford Tigers), Josh Charnley (Leigh Leopards), and Solomona Faataape (Catalans Dragons).

The Warriors beat the Bulls 38-14 as Field contributed two trademark tries - his first being this month’s winner - as supported Adam Keighran’s break from deep inside his own half, before racing away to dot down.

Field continues to be one of the superstars of the Betfred Super League competition, and the electric speedster has been in fine form with a relentless Wigan as of late.

In fact, the Warriors have lost just one game since they returned to winning ways in Round 10...

The battle for who will follow Field as the BOOST Try of the Month winner for June will continue on Thursday with Warrington Wolves and Leeds Rhinos' top two clash that can be seen live on Sky Sports from 8pm. The remaining Round 15 fixtures will take place across that weekend.

The shortlist will be announced at the end of the month.
