Following another spell of eye-catching of action in the Betfred Super League, the latest Voono Team of the Month is here!
Which players have impressed in Fantasy this time around?
Fullback - Matt Dufty (Warrington Wolves)
Maverick Matty Dufty is a metre-making monster, and last month, he became the first Super League player to hit 3000 metres in the 2024 season. He has also made 1,162 metres in his last six matches, and is the endless winner of the Smart Energy Metre Maker of the Week!
Whether it’s match-winning moments or terrific tries, Warrington’s Dufty continues to light up the top tier.
Dufty racked up 96 points or more in three of his four outings this month and is currently the third highest-performing player in Voono.
Winger – Liam Marshall (Wigan Warriors)
It’s no surprise that the current Betfred Super League top try-scorer Liam Marshall is included in Team of the Month.
His six tries in his last six matches will have certainly helped him with this, as he continues to be a pivotal part of the Champions outfit.
Centre – Jake Wardle (Wigan Warriors)
Wigan’s Jake Wardle has been a workhorse for the Warriors and joins winger and teammate Marshall.
Wardle earned a best gameweek score of 86 this past month in the Warriors’ 24-6 victory over Leigh Leopards.
Winger – Ryan Hall (Hull KR)
The ever-reliable Ryan Hall became the all-time Super League try scorer back in June, and the 35-year-old shows no signs of slowing down.
Hall broke the record against Huddersfield in Round 14 scoring his 248th try, and deservedly earns his place in Voono’s Team of the Month.
Centre – Matt Ikuvalu (Catalans Dragons)
Matt Ikuvalu has been almost ever-present for the Dragons in 2024 and has made a huge impact in Steve McNamara’s side this year.
Halfback – Brodie Croft (Leeds Rhinos)
Brodie Croft’s brilliance is hard to ignore in 2024. The former Man of Steel has had a magnificent month with the Rhinos, who are currently making a late charge for the Play-Offs under new head coach Brad Arthur.
Croft has averaged one try assist a game in the 18 rounds played, and who can forget his phenomenal performance against the Leopards last month, where he scored two tremendous tries and scooped up Player of the Match, in a dedicated fixture to the late Rob Burrow CBE.
And who can forget the following week with Croft’s last gasp drop goal against London Broncos in golden-point extra time?
Halfback – Mikey Lewis (Hull KR)
Magic Mikey Lewis features in Voono’s Team of the Month once again and has been instrumental for a rampant Robins side.
He currently sits second in that stats for try assists in 2024 and continues to wear his heart on his sleeve as Hull KR eye up a top two finish for the first time in their history.
Lewis has been a standout performer in Voono consistently hitting 75 or more points in each gameweek over the last month.
Prop – Herman Ese’ese (Hull FC)
Hull’s Herman Ese’ese has impressed in a difficult season for the Black & Whites, with metre making, tackle making and tackle busts all proving to be high-scoring traits.
The powerhouse prop made a whooping 11 tackle busts in the Black & Whites’ Round 16 match against Salford Red Devils, and he currently top the Super League charts with the most offloads this year (40).
Hooker – Danny Walker (Warrington Wolves)
Danny Walker wears his heart on his sleeve and averaged 33 tackles a game in June. His commitment in a Warrington shirt is clear to see, and this is further highlighted by being his side’s top tackler in the competition.
Walker kicked off the month with a personal gameweek high score of 91 in the Wolves’ 18-24 win at Hull FC and with Warrington flying at the top of the Betfred Super League Walker could be a timely addition for any Voono coach.
Prop – Mikolaj Oledzki (Leeds Rhinos)
Leeds’ Mikolaj Oledzki has made over 30 tackles in his last five games and has run for over 100m.
Oledzki is averaging 45 points per week in Voono and could be a decent addition for any Voono coaches looking to bolster their pack.
Second-Row – Rhyse Martin (Leeds Rhinos)
Rhyse Martin is the third Rhino to feature in Voono’s Team of the Month, with impressive all-round performances in both attack and defence.
Martin is currently ranked as the best-performing player in Voono with an average game week score of almost 84. The Papua New Guinean’s eye for a try, ability to kick goals and work rate make him a must-have for any Voono coach.
Second-Row – Kai O’Donnell (Leigh Leopards)
Kai O’Donnell has had an immense month in a Leopards shirt, emerging as their top tackler on numerous occasions.
O’Donnell’s high score for the month came at 73 points in the Leopards 20-16 victory over Huddersfield Giants.
Loose Forward – Elliot Minchella (Hull FC)
Elliot Minchella is running rampant with the Robins, with a top two finish potentially in reach. It’s been a big month for the loose forward, who also made his senior England debut in the country’s mid-season international against France.
Minchella was one of KR’s best Voono performers in their dramatic encounters with Castleford Tigers and Catalans Dragons before earning 82 points in the Robins derby victory over Hull FC.
