Round 27 Team of the Week

It's the final one of the year! Here is your Round 27 Team of the Week...

First up are two York Knights players, who helped their side see out their 2026 campaign with a win on Thursday.

Jesse Dee stepped up at second row with one try and a try assist, while the retiring Paul Vaughan made sure his last game was one to remember as he signed off with his first career drop goal.

On Frantic Friday, Wigan Warriors secured the League Leaders’ Shield in style, with winger Zach Eckersley proving pivotal with one try, one assist, eleven tackles and133 metres.

Likewise, Liam Farrell, who recently announced he will retie at the end of this season, produced a stellar performance with one try, one assist, ten tackles and 113 metres, as the Warriors lifted their sixth Shield in Super League history.

Hull FC were the surprise package in Round 27, as they shocked second-placed Leeds Rhinos.

Logan Moy starred at full-back with a try, three tackle busts and 147 metres, and youngster Lloyd Kemp enjoyed an impressive stint at hooker; also scoring a try and making three tackle busts.

For Warrington Wolves, Luke Yates was their highest tackler with 39 tackles, as the Wolves ensured third place.

Meanwhile, Wakefield Trinity booked themselves a home Eliminator and sealed their highest ever Super League finish after beating Leigh Leopards on the road.

Tom Johnstone was at his brilliant best, with two tries and seven tackle busts.

At the same time, teammate Jazz Tevaga was very problematic for his defenders, completing 26 tackles, 138 metres and three tackle busts.

Retiring Saints legends, Mark Percival and Jonny Lomax rolled back the years in their final appearances at the BrewDog Stadium.

It was an emotional day for both players, and Lomax, who started in the halves, scored twice and assisted another, while Percival scored one, assisted one, and made five tackle busts, as well as a whopping 162 metres - a fitting way to go out in front of the Red V Faithful. 

Finally, Jacob Gagai stole the show as Huddersfield Giants ran riot at the Accu Stadium. Whether it was two tries, ten tackle busts, or 168 metres in 17 carries, Gagai had it all on the Saturday.
