Jordan Swann joins the Black & Whites in 2027

Hull FC have announced the signing of Jordan Swann for the 2027 Betfred Super League season.

The powerful 24-year-old centre has signed a two-year deal with the Black & Whites, a deal that will keep him at the MKM Stadium until at least the end of the 2028 campaign.

Currently playing for Wynnum-Manly Seagulls in the Queensland Cup, Swann will embark on a new journey in 2027, switching Australia for East Yorkshire in an exciting venture to the Northern Hemisphere and the Betfred Super League.

And he is set to arrive in Hull with a spring in his step, playing in the form of his career, having scored 10 tries in 13 appearances for the play-off chasing Seagulls this season.

Born in Sydney, Swann, who has previously spent time in the Sydney Roosters and Manly Sea Eagles organisations, becomes Hull’s fifth recruit for 2027, following the confirmation that the club have secured the services of Bailey Hodgson, Daly Cherry-Evans, Alrix Da Costa and Isaac Liu over the last few weeks.

The powerful centre has previously featured in the New South Wales Cup, including for the Roosters and the Sea Eagles, before securing a switch up to Wynnum-Manly in the Q-Cup for 2026.

Speaking to hullfc.com in his first interview with the club, Swann said: “I can’t even begin to put into words what this opportunity means to me. I can’t wait to get over there.

“Steve [McNamara] reached out to my manager and things just went from there. I’ve wanted to come over to England and play Rugby League in the UK for quite a while now, so when the opportunity came up, I just grabbed it with both hands.

“I’ve heard all about the fanbase over there and heard nothing but good things. I’ve seen a few videos too and it looks crazy. I just can’t wait to come over and make everyone proud.”

Speaking about his style of play as a centre, he added: “As all outside backs will tell you, I like to work hard out of backfield, but when we get into goodball, I like to execute; quick hands, strong fends, and right foot step.”

Hull FC Chief Executive Richie Myler added: “Centre is a position we have identified for 2027 that we need to strengthen and add depth, and Jordan will form part of that.

“Through the conversations that we’ve had, he’s really excited for a new challenge in his career and he comes across as a really hungry individual, so we’re hopeful that he will be a great addition to our squad.

“He’s playing some of his best rugby right now this year for Wynnum-Manly in the Queensland Cup, so we’re all hoping that he can bring that confidence over to England with him.”
