Rivals Returns delivers biggest crowd of 2026 as 83,615 fans pack out Super League

Rivals Returns has become the highest-attended round of the 2026 Betfred Super League season after an incredible 83,615 fans turned out across the seven fixtures – the sixth-highest aggregate attendance in Super League history. 

Supporters flocked to stadiums across the weekend to witness some of the sport's fiercest rivalries, creating an electric atmosphere and underlining the continued growth in attendances across the competition. 

The landmark figure is not only the biggest round of the current season but also secures Rivals Returns a place in the Super League record books, ranking sixth among the highest-attended rounds of all time. 

The weekend showcased the passion and intensity that makes rugby league's local rivalries so special, with packed stands, vocal support and memorable moments on the field combining to produce another standout chapter in the 2026 season. 

The attendance milestone continues the strong momentum for Betfred Super League in 2026, reflecting growing fan engagement and the appetite for the sport's biggest occasions.
