Fantasy League: Ins & Outs for Round 8

Play Fantasy League here!

After a week’s break for the Betfred Challenge Cup, the Betfred Super League returns for Round 8!

It’s given some clubs an extra week to bring their stars back from injury, although other clubs will have a notable absentee or two.

Let’s have a run down of who will be returning to the action, and who’s going to miss out!

Ins:

Cai Taylor-Wray (£90k)

The young Wolves full-back returned to the starting 13 for their Challenge Cup quarter-final against the Leopards on Saturday.

Head coach Sam Burgess, Fantasy players, and Taylor-Wray himself will hope he can quickly recapture the form that saw him light up the opening rounds of the 2026 season!

At £90k, Taylor-Wray is an absolute steal! And it's worth remembering he had accumulated 165 Fantasy points before his injury!

Elliot Minchella (£150k)

The Robins skipper was sat on the side-lines as the treble-winners took on the Knights in the Challenge Cup over the weekend.

But the worst-case scenario for Hull KR has been avoided; Minchella is expected to make his comeback to the fold this weekend for the trip to Toulouse, and is a consistent Fantasy performer to consider for your side.

Edwin Ipape (160k)

Leythers rejoice - Ipape is back after an extended absence! The talismanic hooker is bound to be a Fantasy favourite for the rest of the season.

His weekly Fantasy score averaged 44 in 2025. Will you be transferring Ipape into your team?

Outs:

Sam Walters (£110k)

The Warriors second rower has picked up a three-match suspension for a headbutt in his side’s Challenge Cup quarter-final clash with Trinity.

If you have Walters in your Fantasy team, it’s time to swap him out for a forward that can match his Fantasy points scoring ability.

Jazz Tevaga (£120k)

Tevaga may have escaped a red card on the field last Sunday, but it was confirmed on Monday that he will serve a two-match suspension following his actions in the Challenge Cup.

It’s time to change your loose forward if you haven’t already…

Umyla Hanley (£130k)

Hanley’s return to action on Saturday after nearly two months out didn’t go to plan.

He lasted just 25 minutes on the pitch he suffered a fresh issue to his opposite shoulder. Thankfully, the injury isn’t as bad as initially suspected, but it does mean that Hanley will have to wait a few more weeks to get properly stuck in for the Leopards.

Maybe it’s worth bringing in him on your Fantasy bench?

Harry Smith (£150k)

Walters’ teammate Harry Smith was also handed a three-match ban by the disciplinary panel, which rules him out for the next three Super League rounds.

The Wigan playmaker had been producing a healthy average 48 Fantasy points per round. Which half-back will you be changing to?

Don't miss the deadline!

Players have until 6pm on Thursday 16 April to make any changes to your teams!
