Wakefield Trinity Head Coach Daryl Powell has won the Betfred Super League Coach of the Month award for March.
With voting based on Rounds 4 to 6, Powell was voted as March’s Coach of the Month after leading Wakefield to three huge wins and an unbeaten month.
His side have been on strong form in 2026, kicking off the month with a victory against Hull FC in front of a home crowd.
Despite a lead for FC for much of the game, Will Tate and Oliver Pratt levelled the scores at 10-10, before Tate went over for a second time to give Trinity the win at 14-10.
The following week, the West Yorkshire side hosted Leigh Leopards in another close battle.
There was little separating the sides at half-time, but Wakefield struck early in the second half before Pratt sealed their 18-14 victory following a sin bin for the Leopards’ Jack Hughes.
In their final game of the month, Powell’s side made the short trip across to face York Knights at the LNER Community Stadium.
The Knights started confidently, opening the scoring just before the 15 minute mark, but not before long, Pratt crashed over the line with Max Jowitt’s conversion giving Wakefield their first lead.
From there on, Trinity had firm control as Tom Johnstone crossed twice in 17 minutes before Pratt closed out an epic month of scoring with a late finish.
The voting panel is made up of selected members of the Rugby League media.
