Smart Energy GB have once more extended their partnership with Rugby League Commercial as they continue providing the spark for Super League’s video referee decisions.

The independent, non-profit organisation enters its fourth year collaborating with RLC – helping bring the sport to life, and extend their successful partnership, deepening their work with Rugby League to reach and support communities via their Community Wellbeing Hubs.
Smart Energy GB, which help households and small businesses across Great Britain understand how smart meters can benefit them, their families and the environment, will continue to have rights throughout Betfred Super League as well as across a range of community activations.
Bobby Bahadori, Commercial Director for RL Commercial, said: “We have loved having Smart Energy GB on board with us in Rugby League for the last three years and are delighted to now extend that further.
“The link to the video referee proved a real success last season and it is great that they will continue to have a presence across Betfred Super League and our community activity.
“With Betfred Super League having enjoyed such an impressive start, we look forward to continuing this prosperous partnership with them in 2026.”
Phillippa Brown, Deputy Director of Special Audiences at Smart Energy GB, said:
“We’re proud to continue our partnership with Rugby League and build on the work we’ve done together over the past few years.
“The partnership has allowed Smart Energy GB to reach households through their love of Rugby League to help them understand how smart meters could support them in better managing their energy use and bills. This has been vital for many people looking for ways to stay on top of their finances, so we’re excited to continue this work and build on what we’ve achieved.”
