Let’s take a look at February’s fixtures and ways to travel with Northern…
Round 1 - 12-15 February
The season kicks off in emphatic fashion on THIS THURSDAY with the newly promoted York Knights hosting the treble-winning champions Hull KR at the LNER Community Stadium.
The Northern line runs into York station with regular buses to and from the stadium available to catch.
Over the Pennines, Warrington Wolves entertain St Helens on the Friday Night, with Warrington Central Station just a short 7-minute walk from the Halliwell Jones Stadium.
Atherton (nearest), Wigan North Western and Newton-le-Willows are your options if travelling by train to Leigh Leopards versus Leeds Rhinos on the Friday. Fans can then hop on and off local buses to and from Leigh Sports Village, ensuring they make their match with plenty of time to spare.
Saturday then sees the Super League action unfold in Hull and Wakefield. It’s approximately a 20-to-30-minute walk to the MKM Stadium from Hull Station. We are expecting Bradford Bulls fans in numbers for their first game back in the big time!
Similarly, there are two station options if supporters are heading to watch Trinity versus Toulouse Olympique this weekend – with Sandal & Agbrigg a 20-minute walk to the DIY Kitchens Stadium, or Wakefield Kirkgate which is also 20 minutes on foot.
The final game of the round sees Castleford Tigers host Wigan Warriors in their season opener on Sunday, and fans can reach their destination of The OneBore Stadium in less than 20 minutes from Castleford Station!

Round 2 - 19-22 February
Heading to the Betfred World Club Challenge on Thursday 19 February for the ‘Clash of the Champions’? Again, it’s just a 20-to-30-minute walk to the MKM Stadium from Hull Station!
Excited for your trip to Bartercard Odsal Stadium once again? Northern trains run right into the city at Bradford Interchange or at the opposite side to Low Moor. It’s then the quickest of bus trips to the ground.
The Friday Night Lights are AMT Headingley are calling in Round 2. If you’re off to watch Leeds Rhinos v York Knights face off, then there are connecting Northern trains ready and waiting to catch from Leeds Station.
Why not enjoy the city of Leeds, before hopping on a train to Headingley or Burley Park Stations; taking you there in under ten minutes!
St Helens and Wigan Warriors are at home in Round 2, with Leigh Leopards and Hull FC making the journey. St Helens Central Station is within a short walking distance from The BrewDog Stadium (approximately 16 minutes), whilst Wigan Wallgate or Wigan North Western are close by The Brick Community Stadium (20-minute walk).
Trains run frequently to Huddersfield Station, which is situated in the centre of its town. This is great news for Wakefield Trinity fans who are predicted to take a healthy away following to the Accu Stadium when they meet with Huddersfield Giants.

Round 3 - 26-28 February
The Battle of the Borough is calling! Take your pick from Wigan Wallgate or Wigan North Western if travelling by train for this one.
A local derby in Castleford Tigers and Huddersfield Giants is happening on the Friday – remember it’s 20 minutes from station to stadium in Cas town!
Hull FC welcome York Knights in Round 3 and Northern can get Knights fans there in just over an hour directly from York.
Another away day awaits Wakefield Trinity at the home of Warrington Wolves, with Warrington Central just a stones’ throw away.
