5 hrs

Halifax Panthers will meet London Roosters in the 2025 Betfred Wheelchair Super League Grand Final at Manchester Basketball Centre on Sunday 28 September (KO 5.30pm), following the Roosters' defeat of Hull FC on Sunday (13 September).
It will be the second time this year that the two teams battle it out for silverware having previously faced one another in the Betfred Wheelchair Challenge Cup Final in June.
It was a tough contest with the Panthers fighting hard to lift the trophy for the first time in seven years.
After taking the lead by the five-minute mark with a try from Jack Brown, Wayne Boardman’s side held on to control the remainder of the match and ran in a further seven tries with Rob Hawkins scoring an impressive seven goals to clinch the Challenge Cup trophy.
As they emerge from the Play-Offs, the Panthers have remained unbeaten in what has been a memorable year for the side.
After winning the League Leaders’ Shield for the first time earlier this year, they’ve have produced a series of dominant performances in this year’s Play-Offs, which has helped them to forge a path to their third Grand Final.
Their performance at The Allam Sports Centre in Hull was no different and the treble-chasers went home with an emphatic win over Wigan Warriors. Leading 40-0 at half time, the Warriors fought hard to close the gap, putting twenty-eight points up in the second half, but it wasn’t enough to deny the Panthers their next victory.
London also emerged from the regular season unbeaten, with their only loss being against Halifax in the second round of the Play-Offs.
The Roosters rounded off the weekend with a win against Hull FC which sees them earn their first ever place in the Grand Final. Despite efforts from the Black and Whites, they were only able to put twenty points on the board, seeing the Roosters secure another victory at 86-20 and book their place at Manchester Basketball Centre on September 28.
Also meeting in Hull were Edinburgh Giants and Leeds Rhinos in a match that would close out both of their seasons. At each of the Play-Offs venues, two teams who did not make the top four have met to prepare for the 2026 season.
Led by captain Jodie Boyd-Ward, the Rhinos added a final win to their season in what proved to be an assertive display for the side. The 2025 season marked the Giants' debut appearance in the Wheelchair Super League and they left with plenty to look forward to in 2026...
