Fantasy League debrief
18 Feb 2025

With the opening round of the 2025 Betfred Super League now consigned to the history books, here is a look at Fantasy League's top performers and fantasy flops!
Top performers
Unsurprisingly, the new Saints signing, Tristan Sailor, ws by far the standout in the opening set of fixtures. On his Super League debut, Sailor ran in four tries, plus assisted two others which saw him claim a whopping 120 fantasy points.
The new Saints number 6 was named as the Player of the Match during the Saints' 82-0 success.
Is he a player you plan to add to your squad at £150k ahead of their trip to the Jungle to face the Tigers in Round 2?
Robins winger, Joe Burgess, made a great start to 2025 crossing for a hat-trick during the golden point success at home to the Tigers. He made 102 metres from 18 carries, and if you had the flying finisher, he would have earned you 88 points - the second highest from the opening weekend.
With a trip to the newly promoted Trinity on Thursday night, will he continue his points scoring form?
A flying finish ??

Despite being on the losing side in a historic 1-0 defeat after Golden Point against the Leopards, Warriors hooker Kruise Leeming proved to be the top performing forward in fantasy this week. Given the nature of the contest, it was no surprise that Leeming was one of the strongest defenders, making 47 tackles in the contest.
Leeming and his Warriors teammates will make the trip to face Hull FC on Friday, before their trip to Vegas to face the Wolves in Round 3.
Fantasy Flops
For one of the most expensive players in the game, Luke Keary didn’t perform to his fantasy price tag. At 170k, Keary only claimed 24 points, the lowest by any stand-off who featured in Round 1.

Another at this price, who didn’t score as highly as expected, was Tom Burgess. Burgess started at prop for the Giants in the final fixture of the round. The forward featured for 36 minutes in two stints making 79 metres and 22 tackles during this time.
At 140k, Burgess maybe a risky proposition if his minutes stay at a reduced level.
Don't miss the deadline!
