Nikorima rising with the Red Devils

After joining Salford Red Devils last July, Jayden Nikorima has found his finest form yet.

A player of his quality was a welcomed addition at the club last year, as the Red Devils recorded their highest ever finish in the Super League era – finishing fourth and pushing Leigh Leopards all the way in the Eliminators.

Salford will be looking to push for the Play-Offs once again in 2025 and have an impressive squad assembled for the upcoming campaign.

And Nikorima is more than ready for his first full season with the Salford club, admitting their style of play is one that certainly suits him:

“When I was younger, all I wanted to do was attack and that’s what Salford do – they like putting teams on the back foot with their attack,” he explained.

“It’s exciting and I’m looking forward to the new season.”

Nikorima slotted perfectly into the halves with maverick Marc Sneyd in 2024, and the two showstoppers are set to combine again, with Nikorima taking the number 6 jersey this time around.

Looking ahead to the new season, the 28-year-old is full of optimism and believes Salford can be even stronger in 2025:

“We’ve definitely got our goals set for what we want to do in this 2025 season and it’s more than what we’ve achieved last year.

“We always claim that underdog tag or get put at the bottom half of the ladder, but we see ourselves much better than that.

“I’m looking forward to our first game. The crowd is unbelievable and the fans are crazy - it’s great!"
