Rivals Round returns in 2025

Rivals Round (Round 8) will be returning in 2025, with six blockbuster clashes set to be played over the Easter Weekend (17 – 19 April).

Fans are in for a treat as the round kickstarts with two enemies meeting for the first time since 2023. Wakefield Trinity, who are back in the Betfred Super League for 2025, host Castleford Tigers on Thursday night, and there will certainly be no love lost between these West Yorkshire neighbours when their rivalry is finally renewed.

Good Friday promises to be an unforgettable one, as the tradition continues with the highly anticipated Hull Derby. Can the Black & Whites enact revenge for the Robins’ clean sweep of results against them last year? And of course, there’s the famous Good Friday Derby contested between Wigan Warriors and St Helens at The Brick Community Stadium to mark down in your diaries – a storied rivalry steeped in history.

The third and final fixture on an action-packed Friday sees Leeds Rhinos and Huddersfield Giants go head-to-head at AMT Headingley Stadium – a fierce encounter between two local sides that has provided plenty of entertainment over the years.

Rivals Round will then conclude with another spectacle in Leigh Leopards against Warrington Wolves, while Catalans Dragons take on Salford Red Devils in the south of France. What memorable moments will we see this time around?

All six matches will be shown live on Sky Sports.
