Wigan Warriors have announced the signing of highly-rated prop Oliver Wilson from Huddersfield Giants, bolstering the Club’s pack ahead of the 2026 Betfred Super League season.
The 25-year-old has committed to the Warriors until the end of the 2029 season, joining the former champions after establishing himself as one of Super League’s most industrious front-rowers.
A powerful, hard-working middle with a strong defensive engine and tidy ruck skills, he has accumulated significant top-flight experience and earned a reputation for consistency and work rate.
Wilson made his Rugby League debut in 2018 playing for Bradford Bulls against Hemel Stags.
He was part of the squad that helped Bradford to promotion from League One in 2018.
In 2019, he made one Challenge Cup appearance for Bradford before signing for the Giants where he has made 114 appearances. He also represented England in the mid-season Test against France in 2024.
Warriors Head Coach Matt Peet said: “We’re really pleased to bring Oliver to the Club. He’s a talented and determined player.
“We believe he’ll thrive in our environment and contribute strongly to the team moving forward.”
On joining the Warriors, Wilson said: “I’m really excited to be signing with Wigan, when I heard they had an interest, it was an easy decision for me to make, and I would like to thank my agent for getting it all sorted. It’s a great club, and I can’t wait to get going in pre-season.
Paying tribute to Huddersfield and their fans, Wilson continued: “I would also like to put on record my sincere thanks to Huddersfield Giants and especially to the fans for the past six years, whose support was always unwavering.”
